Good stuff man. I also thought 66P+K is a pretty underrated tool. Btw, have you guys used the 66P+KT move ever in a match? I tend to go for other options such as 66P+KP for a launch into 43P or I just continue the stun.
I don't like 66P+KT too well. It only works on whiff NH or CH scenario. I hear the move is pretty normal on the VF games. Out of everything from his arsenal, 214T~H is probably the worst one of them all while backturned SPoD is likely the most useless. I mean, why do a BT palm command strike when you can just do a BT P+K shoulder that does more damage and it's quicker ahaha.
Yeah 66P+KT is used more often in VF5:FS from what I've seen. I've never actually seen the BT SPOD. Wonder how it looks like. I also accept the challenge!!!
Ironically that they did fix it now but instead of investing time into making the camera change, they could of made it in a more practical use for BT. They could of at least either made it safe on BT but weaker damage because it's safe or faster in frames.
Yeah I think BT P+K will always be his best option (unless the opponent is expecting it, then he would probably throw punish). Speaking of BT options, Akira also has BT P and a BT K (I think) but I realize I never really used those either
Also NEC will be my last because I find it difficult for the DOA community to show compassion and respect for other players. Basically for whatever reason, if you don't make it top 8 you are not considered any value as a strong player but as a random. I for one, do not agree with that.
And thus it becomes a plague when other individuals agree with that mindset because it's a celebrity contest in the community. Especially the FB DOA group.
Ex: If a SF player beat a guy in casuals 12 games in a row but yet he lost on the big screen to the same guy and started beating the same guy again, why should people discredit the guy who beat him in casuals 12 games in a row? because he lost at the big screen on stream? A bit of nonsense there. Every individual should be valued high regard whether they lost or not.
I agree man. I don't think this just applies to DOA though. Pretty much every fighting game has this problem. Reminds me of when Daigo got perfected by Poongko in SSF4 Evo 2011 and people on the stream chat started calling him a scrub. This type of crap is why people stir away from the FGC. Also, that DOA FB group is poison. Especially, since a certain someone we know is apart of that group.
Right. Which is why I prefer to play the game locally in my area or Defend The North. After watching the squabble in the DOA FB group, I lost interest in traveling. Might as well only play the game for burning up time for fun, DOA at Next Level or in Defend The North.
The DOA FB group is honestly just cancerous. I tend to stay away from it completely, but I will just look at some of the stuff that goes on, which is why I always post on FSD, and never post in there.
While I still have yet to go to a tournament, I never planned on going far. FR and TFC would be the only two, but even then, it's not a priority. I love the game, I like the community, but I'm not gonna bust my balls to try and go play a video game.
Understandable. I think a severe issue is recognition entirely for the DOA community. I don't play for recognition but I play as a respectful DOA player. You could beat Sly bass over 6 games in casuals yet none of it should matter because I respect Sly as a player and vice-versa, I do not play to downplay another player and the community should not do it either.
