Sexy Beach is a niche series (even in Japan) that almost no one in the US has ever heard of. The Xtreme series is as mainstream as a niche game can get and like DOAN said has always done well in the US.

@petopia are you from the US? Just because it was on G4 doesn't mean that it was even remotely popular here. Not a single Sexy Beach game has ever been localized and sales are so low that there have never been any official reported sales numbers for the game. Compare that to the Xtreme series where all three games combined have sold over 650,000 copies in the US and Europe.

I will have to disagree. I think the reason behind that was the small number of Xbox360 owned by the Japanese players. Now DOAX3 is on PS4/PSV, it will be popular.

Maybe he doesn't understand though. It sounds like most players in Asia view the Xtreme series as a dating sim so he thought that's why Sexy Beach would also do well here.

Now that it's looking like a Core Fighter's model it doesn't make any remote sense as to why it wouldn't come to the USA.

@deathofaninja but have you seen the core mechanics compared to DOAXB3 like free roam sandbox and create a heroine those are the things DOAXB3 would dream to have.

@David Gregg Both are in the same setting and place, both have the same premise of working to get the heroine of your choice, both have the same cheese cake scenes but Sexy beach has more context to that fanservice and then some. You feel me.

What kind of games can you play in Sexy Beach? Volleyball? Jet ski racing? And if you can are the games similar in quality to Xtreme or poorly made rip offs? That's what I'm getting at, Xtreme isn't simply a dating sim in the west.

To me the girls from sexy beach are not attractive.

DOAX is a sports game, Sexy Beach is a fap game. lol Also, I don't want to create a character. I hate creating things. I want to play with the DOA characters.

Well you do play volleyball and that is a sport.

My brother went to local tournaments since he loved the sport other then that its my extent of volley ball but that's a tall persons sport. My only experience with this game is paradise and even that game got a bit repetitive on me. If wanted to play mini games theres the wii and wii u for that.
