Mostly 6p+k, 2p, 66p, 6kp(bad habit I use this move a lot mainly), 6p4 and it's follow ups and 3h+kp. Also 9h when I make the read. It's just been really discouraging

You should incorporate more 3P+K, 2K, 1P and 4PP+K in your gameplan, one of Akira's biggest strengths is his ability to launch from any stun and get decent damage, you hould make the opponent afraid of holding using that mentality.

Don't forget his Jab too.... if you keep getting Counter Hit then resort to your fastest move..... the Almighty Jab ! Which is +1 on block.... assuming all the VF Jabs are the same..... that means you get to strike again.
