you've engaged the community , helped ppl with combos , uploaded videos , competed in the offline scene and placed pretty high, what more is there to do ... the games slowly dying at this point due the quality of better games and doa drama. you deserve one less headache with this game .. take care enjoy the journey of whatever goal or game you have in mind next . adios
But all FG communities have drama, and you can still support the community by having fun and going to tourneys. New stuff may be scarce at this point, but it's not enough for me to give up DOA.
@KasumiLover69 It actually deals with what this game has become the community and lack of support in certain areas of the gameplay. As of 2016 many fighters are going strong hopefully we get to Esports etc. It would be smart to leave while you can just my 2 cents.
the gameplay is fine, its not the deepest but its fine. the problem lies with the community and its priorities. as you can see the most visited topic in this place is the costume thread, compare that to TYM or SRK and you can see where the issues lie.
and while yes you can go out and compete still, its not really worth it when the community doesn't join in as well. i think when DOA6 gets around we're going to need to limit what gets posted so casual topics dont overtake the site again.
Idk man it's really hard now since we built a super ignorant fanbase in the past 3 years. That send threats to Team ninja like Man children and lucky for us a Doax3 to help improve are image that we tried to escape from. I really hope for a Doa6 but for now i'll be playing T7,SFV,KOF14 etc.
You can say the community is the biggest problem...but I'm not really certain on how harsh you can really get on them honestly. Yes, they need to find ways to hit tourneys and get that passion working but it's not easy when honestly, this is the first competitive DOA since 3.1
