It's just a lil question I had earlier that broke out into something it shouldn't have. Now I'm extremely curious though: What's the difference between a top player vs a high level player?
Consistency at tournaments. High level players know their game inside and out, know matchups, and can generally do very well in non-competitive environments; they may even place sometimes. Top players have something to show for all of it. A lot of times the terms are tossed around as if they're the same, though.
Yea it was just we were talking about someone who only competes in Canada (not for a specific reason), and me and a friend of mine were saying he was a pretty good player, but then a group of other guys jumped the gun and decided to say he's not a high leveled player.
It just got to me because I got the impression that to be a high leveled player, you have to place top 8 in tournaments or something a long those lines.
I just wanted to know for sure though, because I hate not knowing things like this :/
