I know, right? I got on for a bit to test out some Akira tech and I've never waited so long for a match to come up in Ranked before (post patch that is). And there've been more JPN rooms than USA in the lobbies. I oughtta sppend more time playing DoA instead of the classic Crash Bandicoot games XD

Haha oh mate, gotta love the old Crash Bandicoot games :D May have to grab them myself off the PSN, i have so many funds just sitting in there at the moment. Might grab a few classics.

I have Crash Bandicoot 2 on my PSP! :) definitely a true classic and it can be pretty tedious sometimes D-:

The only thing tedious to me about Crash 2 were the crates you have to bounce on 10 times for fruit. Thank goodness it's been shortened to 5 times (2 fruits for each bounce) In Crash 3 Warped. Best and most memorable game in the series for me XD

Did you guys ever play Crash Team Racing? I remember flogging hours out of that game every afternoon. Good nostalgic memories. Dingodile was a beast

I hardly played much of Crash Team Racing since it was at a hotel. But Crash TAG Team Racing for the PS2 was freaking amazing. Classic Crash gameplay placed in a fully rendered free-roam map mashed kart racing that could gice Mario Kart Double Dash a run for its money. The Die-O-Rama feature was a pure stroke of maniacal genius <3

Damn mate i don't think I've played that, didn't even know there was a Crash kart game on PS2. I am ebaying that shiz. Cheers!

Glad to recommend it. Unfortunately I've lost the game disc a long time ago, so I can't go back to play it whenever the urge hits me anymore. And trust me, you're gonna love the Die-O-Ramas. It's basically secrets hidden all over the map showing Crash dying in the craziest ways possible. It's like Tom & Jerry all over again whenever I find one XD

Thanks man, i appreciate it. Btw you seem like one of those old school gamers who still plays PS2 games. Same here, i still got the Tenchu's & Onimusha's locked away somewhere. If they can't revive them in next gen, i hang on to them.

Darn right I am XD I'm not sure if it's my psuedo-hipster nature, I prefer most older titles over some of the new things we see today. Hardly a thing has soul these days, which is why I don't care for today's hyper-realistic gory hodgepodges. It's why I still keep my old consoles by my side. Plus, game tech can get as fancy as it wants, but Shenmue I & II will always be my holy grail of gaming :U

I'd have to agree. Minus a few top class franchises (Uncharted, Mass Effect especially imo) i find myself enjoying the older games of yesteryear more then what is on offer this gen. & like you, the fancy tech does nothing for me if it can't back it up with games with soul like the classics from the past. Resi Evil 4 is probably still the best thing on console imo. Nothing touches it for me. What a game!

RE4 is some great stuff, but I only played the first stage since my friends kinda forced me into playing it in the dark since they were too scared to do it (a looooooong time ago). The only kind of games I look forward to these days are fighters, and titles developed by Platinum Games, CyberConnect2, SEGA, and my main man Suda51. I have my sights set on Ken's Rage 2 at the moment though XP

I think that is what amazed me about RE4, every chapter outdid itself & bombarded you with moments after moments of brilliance & for it's time it just seemed eons ahead of any other game. As for games to look forward to: The Last of Us hands down, looks bloody mental.

Old school games seems to have that unforgettable special feeling inside us thats hard to shake out. Hack, I still have Tekken 3 (PS1) Splinter Cell chaos theory, NBA Street Vol. 2 & Vol. 3, Tony Hawk underground 2, DOA3 (all on Xbox),
wwf smackdown here comes the pain (PS2) & other PS2 & Xbox games I don't feel like listing on this website XD apparently, old school games have a soul unlike these next gen games.

Fully agree Chaos, maybe it's the nostalgia in all of us that makes these games more special. The gems this gen have been amazing though. Uncharted, Mass Effect, MGS4 & GOW3 were dazzling. Would love to play the Gears series but i don't have a 360 & just can't justify owning two consoles personally. I will play it one day though, even if it means stealing a mates 360 for a few nights. ;)

Oh man those were great moments! the part that really gave me goosebumps were the invisible insects in the sewers

Chaos
Aw yes, RE4 had some crazy twisted moments like those two blinded bastards inside a crowded room when you're halfway through the game and lets not forget those Texas Chainsaw Massacre wannabes coming after you (I always get extremely nervous every time I see them) aw, good times

Those invisible insects makes me shiver inside. Btw I'd retype my post because there were some errors I need to fix.
