That's actually a great number in Judeo-Christian mythology. Few people know this but before it was used in reference to the beast in Revelations it represented the golden Talents of Solomon (Kings, Chronicles & Ezra), the number of Jews to survive the Babylonian Exile.

It also represents the perfection of the world in some Jewish traditions: world created in 6 days (7th = rest after creation); 6 cardinal directions: North, South, East, West, Up, Down. It's really just a sacred number. You should celebrate!

The media is spreading misconception to keep the people from knowing the truth.

I don't get religion at all to be honest. There are so many religions so how would you know which 1 is actually the right one. And who says religions are right to begin with ?
