The games are way more similar than you think. Specifically how neutral is played, it's very Tekken like

HEY !!! I'm one of "those people". I'm obviously biased torwards DoA but yeah I compare it to Tekken and VF..... i definitely think DoA is better than both..... combined.

@og23 my point is simply that people compare the two in an overall standpoint as if DOA is a ripoff of Tekken when they are fundamentally different in the main places it counts.

Perhaps they are just making Surface Comparison about Aesthetic stuff like Character designs. Ya know.... like how the various Laws are better than Lee and Angel's Wings are prettier than Nyotengu's wings.

People still do this shit... in 2016. If it were up to me, I would have Nyotengu 4P+KP the shit out of the scrubs who still make these kind of statement at this point in time. Playing DOA as if it were "Tekken" is a good way to get laughed at by more intellectual individuals.

Playing DoA like if it was Tekken will get you BTFO. VF comparison I can understand though.

Technically you can't play DoA VF Style either..... but that only applies to specific characters that don't have similar standardized tool set The VF Characters have...

@Lulu no one is really saying DOA plays like VF or vice-versa either but considering DOA's fighting engine is a modified version of VF2 from the beginning and got modified further, VF is the closest style to DOA.

So what's the deal with TN and AM2 ? Do they like hang out in the same restaurant and share ideas or something ? It might explain the similarities.
