get yourself an elgato and a good streaming computer for streaming. But for just game recording, an elgato and an average computer will do.

The newer Elgatos dont properly support PS3. Once they start capturing the HDCP kicks in and blocks the signal.

The Avermedia capture devices are good. An old Elgato will do the trick, but adds some slight input delay. Do not use Hapupauge unless you hate yourself.

Capture cards built into your computer such as Black Magic Intensity are ideal for quality, but at that point you might as well buy a PS4 for the money.
