Ye-yeah! Rocky is probably one of my favorite older movie franchises, I will always be thankful that my mom was nostalgic enough to show them all to me through my middle school years

Yep. Time flies by. Bruce Lee's The Big Boss is only 4 years away of being a 50 year old film.

Holy cow, many of these films are a lot older than one might think.

I disagree about the "best movie franchises" part. Parts 3 to 5 mean nothing to me. The original Rocky is brilliant though, one of my favorite movies of all time.

All movies are at least good, 4 had Drago and even 5 has its scenes (the final street fight comes to mind). Creed is an amazing film, so the fact that through the span of 40 years, you managed to make 7 films with none of them being absolutely terrible, is pretty goddamn stellar, in my opinion.

It all comes down to Rocky's portrayal itself, a believable character that grows and ages as the movies go.

I remember that movie... and his little moose friend too.

Personally, I prefer the vintage cartoon series.

But seriously, I probably wouldn't have got into the Rocky series had it not been for Rocky 4's soundtrack. My mother was into buying movie albums on vinyl, and this was no exception. Along with others that came the following year like Transformers, Top Gun, and An American Tail, it made me want to go see it.

Now that I think about it, Mila's theme is heavily inspired by Vince DiCola's 80s style music.
