Dojo is disabled in random by default you know... just change the random filter and hey presto no dojo.
Also choosing stages manually can go negative because you could choose a stage that gives your character a clear advantage

I'm not big on random, I just choose stages I consider the most beautiful and epic, like I'd choose Lost World, Dangerzone, Hot Zone, Rapids and scramble over and over if I could. Advantage imo doesn't matter, just don't put yourself in those situations and you're fine.
