Yeah unfortunately. I still think the console will work online, but the actual console will be hard to buy now. Keep your PS3 because people within Fall will probably go on Ebay to buy them at ridiculous prices.

I would've actually been fine with this had it not been for the fact that the only way to play PS3 games is on Playstation now where you have to stream instead of just using a disc

Playstation Now isn't that great though. It's not full library of games that were back on the PS3 and it requires a stable connection to play a game that's cloud streamed. It's terrible concept, what if the person has no internet and he wants to play X/Y game. See the problem there?
