You should play the Dreamcast version of Shenmue I and II to understand the story. Ryo's eyes and feature is lololol on this, however what made Shenmue extremely well written and amazing was Shenmue for the Dreamcast.

I actually find the fact that his face doesn't change expression in the trailer funny XD but I do hope they improve faces before release, and I don't have a dreamcast but if there's a system they have a digital version on I wouldn't mind playing it

You missed out. SA, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Jet Set Radio, and Power Stone were considered to be the greatest games back on the Dreamcast. As well as DOA2.
