I'm usually always having a blast so depression doesn't strike me as much. The last time I was super depressed was when my pops got surgery on his leg and he's becoming a different person entirely. He's been forgetting stuff and drinking more often so that kinda still worries me.

Now I just kinda deal with it and stopped being depressed about it. I can understand that you can't run as much anymore and just overall less lively when you are working. He doesn't even drive his car as often anymore either so it's been hitting him hard, which kinda hits me hard too.

Gardening does seem fun! I think it's really important to have a hobby that is relaxing and that you can really get into. Personally, I crochet. It has even helped me with my anxiety, and when I don't feel well. And I'm sorry to hear you're going through depression. *Hugs* It's good that you found something that helps you. :)

Well it sounds like your dad’s depressed. I remember when my dad’s friend hurt his knee and had to get surgery on it he was depressed for a long time bc he couldn’t do the stuff he used to be able to anymore

I do have a pet cat that I like tossing him around. He seems to enjoy it. Yes, animals are cool.

@Maple I tried to get into crochet but already knew how to knit and was too used to it. Would like to learn to crochet since it goes quicker but I prefer the way knitting looks

He probably is from time to time yeah, he probably keeps it to himself which can be an issue. He enjoys himself when we get family reunions and going to restaraunts. He's also not a big fan of hospitals since he has to go for leg checkups due to doctor's orders and he gets annoyed by that. Just thinking about it...that will probably hit me hard if I can't be as athletic anymore.

That's awesome, Chapstick! I've tried to pick up knitting, but I found it to be really confusing, especially because I'm used to crocheting! I wanted to learn crochet to make amigurumi (I'm a lover of cute things), and ended up falling in love with the art. :) I also really like the way knitting projects look...I'll have to learn!

Oh my gosh! What a cutie! <3 I can't. I bought LBG a few weeks ago and I barely played it! I need to play it again. lol
I bought it because it is such an adorable game, haha. Same with Yoshi's Wooly World...sigh, that game is one of my personal favorites. Don't get me started on the yarn amiibos...truly glorious.

Yeah i've been trying to find a hobby to fend of my depression. Its been getting heavier because friends have drifted and despite best efforts, i can't get a better job, so i'm stuck in minwage room rent situation. Tried to take up drawing but I don't really have the skill for it, so i lose patience and get frustrated.

Probably the only way to find drawing enjoyable (for most people) is to not take it very seriously. Draw easy or funny stuff & you get better with time
