Could you help me bringing coffee to my boss", the answer should be "Yes", unless you're in the middle of doing something really important in your position.
The idea is, and it is a bit backwards, when you're first hired, they don't want to see how creative or how smart you are, at the beginning, you have to show that you're willing to work, and even if the person that asked you for help or to do her job isn't your superior, they will take notice. After a while, then they'll see if you're smart or creative, or proactive, but right now, you should just show work.
