Honoka is strong, and she's heavily unexplored. Players cannot mash PPPPP or have patience so she's not played as often outside of basic DOA stun game.

Honoka is underrated indeed. She has a lot of potential and it's a shame to see people look down on her just because of her "T-Rex" arms.
Her quick pokes have poor reach no doubt, but you're supposed to use them when you're in your opponent's face. I mean, as a Honoka main since LR dropped, I've learned to deal with it and it's not that much of an issue anymore.
