Improving the Neutral: Shimbori Talks System Changes

This is a pointless argument in a game where PPP and KKK strings have existed since the very first one. The is exactly the problem with SE. The more options players are given in stun, the less important having good neutral becomes. DOA5's stun game doesn't have enough diminishing returns for...

It's Harada. He flat out stated that he doesn't like it giving out frame data and wants players to figure that stuff out themeselves.

And now for your regularly scheduled reminder that the biggest fighting game at Evo runs alot on chained autocombos. DBFZ's basic combo route is 2M, 5M, jump cancel, air M autocombo, smash up, super dash, M autcobombo, jump cancel, M autocombo, smash down, land into super or oki. Autocombos are...

    Samurai Spirits/Samurai Shodown

If the game is actually good, Charlotte will be solid (top tier in SS2, upper tier in SSV Special).

    Samurai Spirits/Samurai Shodown

Popularity didn't do anything for Shiki getting into V Special or Tenka (despite sprites for her already existing in SvC and NGBC). It's not like they didn't have chances to add her into other SS games, but they never did. Heck, V Special and Tenka were dream match games with no story, and she...

Because those characters can't come into play until the events of SS64. 2 of them are literally not around until 1789.

That timeline placement makes it more difficult to add in SS64 characters like Shiki though.

    Samurai Spirits/Samurai Shodown

Judging by the date given, it's likely a sequel to SSV (SS Zero in Japan), which takes place in 1786, and a prequel to SS1-SSIV which all take place in specific times in 1788. Other clues include the fact that you can see Gaoh (the boss of SSV/Zero) in that painting. For reference.

    Dead or Alive 6 (PC)

The hot swapping issue was brought up in relation to tournaments (specifically, the clusterduck that was recent China CPT), and whether PCs will ever be the go to for them.

    Dead or Alive 6 (PC)

Hot swapping will not be an issue, as most TOs will most likely be running the game on console.

The only physics that should be tied to the gameplay are those that are already in the game - gravity, collision, etc.. Stuff, which has already been in past games, and has been demonstrated to be in the game itself.

What would you like to see in DOA6?

IMO, SFV and Skullgirls already have a perfect solution for this - displaying a bar that counts down recovery and, in Skullgirls case, also changes color depending on state (startup/active/recovery).

A Collection of Observations & Opinions of Early DOA6 Info

Because a lot of these make the game more random. That's why the stages picked for 5 had their danger zones molsty in walls, which were already a dangerous place to be in the first place, and more importantly, were all things triggered by the players. Having a match decided because a car hit a...
