If time travel will be a thing, which sort of seems to be the case, then they'll make an appearance. Every playable character who died in MKX will probably appear in this game.

Not going to lie, I thought they were hyping up Nioh 2 originally. New IP probably equals a Dynasty/Samurai Warriors type of game loosely based on some historical events. Ninja Gaiden 4 (if it'll happen anytime soon) will happen after Nioh 2 imo.

Since DOA6 is a couple months away, I guess they stopped character rotations in 5 for good. For the last month they should make every single character playable though, but its probably not going to happen.

If its going to be a brand new IP, then it might be something that will be loosely based on historical events, the flames, two horses and that one quote gives me mad Dynasty/Samurai Warriors vibes (it gives me Nioh vibes the most, but if its a new IP, then that speculation goes out of the window).
