Yeah the image quality is better than what I see on TV but the slight pixelation is still noticeable......
But thats just for movies..... I haven't test driven it on my console yet (Stupid thing came with no HDMI Cables), I'm not too optimistic though.
The ultimate Test will come when I plug...

Earlier to night I was test driving the new 48 inch TV with some 720p Movies, the stretching made the picture alil pixelated, I would imagine the results wouldn't improve much over...
Nornally I would say this emphasis on Graphics is pointless but TVs are getting bigger and the bare minimum 4K Resolution (3840×2160) is affordable...... continuing to make games run on 1080p then making a 40inch TV stretch it to make it fit is going to result in very ugly Games. Even casual...
Given how much Memory has been shoved into the GPUs you'd think that would be the case...... but Running a fully Rendered 3D Game like Uncharted at 4K Resolution is going to be expensive..... even $300 PC GPUs can't do it..... unless ofcourse if you give up 60FPS then I guess its possible....
Pretty much any move with more than one frame can be manipulated. That plus its hard to find a character who only has one active frame, only one I know is Jacky.
Seriously though.... what kind of Company sells TVs, Capture Cards, Consoles, Blue Ray Players, etc WITHOUT THE BLOODY HDMI CABLE !!!?????
Even some graphics cards come with HDMI Cables despite them primarily using DVI Display Ports.
