Article: Why PS3 owners should be ecstatic for the upcoming release of DoA5

Here's a piece that I've been working on over the past few days. It's something that I've been thinking about ever since Dead or Alive 5 was confirmed for the PS3 last year. I wanted all DoA fans to realize the importance of the series making a return to the PlayStation console. This was also my motivation as to why I plan on getting the game on both platforms. There's not much in here that most of you guys don't already know, but it's still a good read nonetheless. I also gave a shoutout to a special website in my article. Enjoy.

Nice article. I'm certainly very happy that DOA5 is releasing for PS3. I don't have a PS3, and will be playing on 360, but being a multi-console game will definitely help the series attract players.

Im so fucking happy about DOA5 coming on PS3. im also happy that 360 owners won't have to suffer playing DOA4 anymore and since TN remove jumping, it won't be annoying
using the 360 d-pad. Another thing thats exiciting to me is that TN is working on the
PS3 version first, than the 360 version so that means BOTH versions will look the SAME
. Western developers need to take notes from TN. I will buy DOA5 again when I get a Xbox 360. TN will do a amazing job and DOA5 will be the best & the deepest in the series.

limiting your fanbase to one console is the worst thing 3rd parties can do and its especially bad for a fighting game to be exclusive to one console especially one with such terrible pad for the genre since not everyone prefers or wants to use a stick.

Its pretty surprising how much more popular it seems the ps3 version is. gamefaqs ps3 doa5 section is far more active and has more posts, more people on neogaf are getting it on ps3 over 360, and even on this very site according to my other thread it seems ps3 version is winning over 360. either way the game is looking great and its good that both fanbases will have the opportunity to get their hands on it....and with team ninja and nintendo all buddy-buddy i expect wii-u to get some love too

I think it's great that the game will be cross-platform. I'm an Xbox owner, so I've been lucky enough to have DOA Ultimate, DOA3 and DOA 4, but honestly, I'd just love for this awesome series to be enjoyed by as many people as possible.

I'm really looking forward to playing this with a PS3 controller. After years and years of playing on an xbox pad it'll be kind of nostalgic to play on a dual shock. It'll be like it was over a decade ago when I played Dead or Alive 2: Hardcore.

Mine too, as you have probably guessed. Such a shame we'll never hear more of his music. I'm looking into other artists like him, but he can never be replaced.

Since I only got the chance to play DOA4 on occasion...*lack of 360* I welcome it on the PS3. Also Im totally up for getting some good games with you guys for those who have it on PSN, so please send s few PM's my way in helping me level up my game and help build a scene for DOA in nor-cal.

Totally true. Console exclusivity is completely retarded. I personally would also prefer to play on PS3, but I only have a 360, so that's what I'm getting it for.
