We are in the year 2025 and Dead or Alive 6 is still hanging on by a pretty strong thread in the offline tournament scene thanks to a great international effort from Japan representing DOA6 at EVO Japan and now North America representing the underrated fighter at EVO August 1st, 2025. Our number one prerogative here at Free Step Dodge right now is to make sure that members in the community are willing to come out to Las Vegas whether you are a local or are some distance away. You can register at the tournament organizer's official Start.GG and begin preparing for your trip or short drive to the Las Vegas Convention Center.
There were some rumors of Team NINJA being involved which led to the idea of some thinking maybe there will be some kind of game announcement. That is definitely not the case here, and in all likelihood, this is probably just an EVO side tournament that tests the current popularity of the game in the biggest way that it possibly can be tested in the world. No, it's not a main game at the show, but it's still at the biggest show and this is a great way to demonstrate that we can do things the old school way and without the help of the conglomerate... though I have reached out to Team NINJA to see if there will be any involvement at all from them.
I've heard through the rumor mill that there are going to be some heavy hitters showing up as a possible surprise so keep your fingers crossed for some extremely high-level action. Right now, I'm leaving this in the tournament section of the forum, but it'll be on the front page in a few days once I've fleshed out a few more details. ANYWAYS, have fun, and happy lab training!
