Hi there,
Are there any european PSN players out there, and if so what are your experiences through this launch weekend?
My personal experiences are not that good, since I wanted to try out the online portion to see if it was good, but I can find very few fights in my region (with region set to same or nearby). With very few, I mean I only saw about 4 players from the likes of Germany, UK and Sweden (northern european parts where I would expect very good connections). Consequently the fights I've had, has been lagging and/or slow, leaving a sad impression for now.
(For the record, I play through NAT type 2, Ethernet, I have very good connections to european players and also some east coast american players in Soul Calibur 5).
Do you have to manually set your region for the game to be able to know where you're from? If I search for a room in nearby/same region the game will often give up after like only 1 second saying no rooms could be found. I can then retry and find a few, but all in all european activity seems surprisingly low to me.
