Help a Helena user out? o:

Hey Helena players! I not new at the game but I'm new to this whole 2p+k thingy or 66p. The whole numbers with the letters. I been trying to get better with Helena.. since DoA 2 Hardcored.. and all I have been doing in online matches is just spam out of nerves. I mean I watched youtube videos to learn combos, which I can perform but what I didn't know is the whole background to it. Which is those numbers and letters. I honestly just play as Helena and I haven't gotten any better.. :l My boyfriend was trying to show me what the numbers and letters meant last night in the online dojo but I wasn't understanding it. So if you guys can link me to a fourm explain it that would be a start. I tried looking but I'm new to this website. ): Well thank you for taking your time in reading this and hopefully I can properly master Helena *fingers crosses* xD Thank you guys

I'm pretty certain I have played you before, in regards to your question the numbers refer to directional inputs:

If you have a square numerical pad on the right hand side your keyboard that will make it easier to visualise.

1 = Down + Back
2 = Down
3 = Down + Forward
4 = Back
5 = No Directional Input
6 = Forward
7 = Up + Back
8 = Up
9 = Up + Forward

The letters refer to button inputs:
(Using Default Controller Config)

P = Punch (Y) / Triangle
K = Kick (B) / Circle
F+P = Throw/Grab (A) / X
X = Free/Block/Counter (X) / Square

On this site the inputs often look like this:

4 / Back =
P+K / Punch (+) Kick =
66P / Foward Forward (+) Punch =

BKO = Bokuho (Helena's crounching stance)

Examples:

66P = Forward Forward (+) Punch
2P+K = Down + Punch (+) Kick (Enter BKO Stance)
4P+K = Back + Punch (+) Kick

Hopefully that is the info you were looking for.

Ah! I remember your gamertag! Lol I think i probably spam in the match... :/ In all honestly spaming isn't what I want to do in my matches.. :/ So if you remembering me spamming I'm sorry >_> And thanks for the information. Thanks man And the other guy for replying And if you ever want a rematch then I'm up for it but I still have the warning sign of "Warning Tends to Spam!* lable on me... xD but thanks again

Check out some of Helena's other threads. Theres tons of advice there. Her top moves, some good combo jugglers and critical burst set ups. If you need any help, feel free to message me too.

Yeah this is the Helena sub forum so its all about her but in the regular forums, there are universal strategies that are helpful.
