I have another question related to sidesteps, here goes:
Once I do a sidestep how many frames is it before I can attack ? Not how long is the recovery after a sidestep (which is apparently 5 frames or -5), straight after you input a sidestep how many frames is it before you can attack? In other words can you attack during the 20 frames of the sidestep maneuver or only after this?
I will use an example from Tekken again to clarify if i may (note: I'm not trying to compare the two games, I simply know more about the Tekken system than the DOA system so I can't give a DOA example
):
In Tekken a sidestep animation was 43 frames
- In the first 11 frames you couldn't block
- You could attack after the 8th frame
- And you could move again after the 23rd frame
I'm basically looking for similar info on the DOA sidestep, if anyone knows this please post it here. Thanks a lot
