Is DOAD a highly regarded DOA game? What challenges would it face as a remaster & collection regarding hype @& excitement?

The game didn’t sell well unfortunately but it stood out as one of the best handheld fighting games for Nintendo’s side as they never had a DOA games before. What could have done better if it sold well? Why did it felt so incomplete and

The challenges DOAD would face getting a remastered is that it would repeat making the same mistakes with the ratings and Team Ninja refuse to give it a better treatment by making up for the loss of additional content back then, then it may have to be part of the DOA collection as there has yet to be a DOA collection in the future. The possible DOAD remaster may have to get a rerating from T to M but fear it may not be enough to make sales. Or if possible, DOAD would incorporate majority of DOA1-4’s content making it into one massive collection with a rating M if it were to modernize the past DOA games. I can see that DOAD was Team Ninja’s first attempt to make a DOA collection but felt incomplete as the story focused too much on ninjas, Hitomi only getting a slight attention, and other characters getting left out of their own story modes. The biggest challenge is to handle the command list but would DOAD remaster be okay without it or is it necessary for casual and new players to utilize it to master it before becoming experienced? For the costumes, the DLC have to be brought back as many missed it out. As for more content, what do you want added else and for DOAD to improve upon it’s mistakes to make the possible remaster a fine remake? Regarding the audience, times have changed and the fanbase is still divided between pre Itagaki and post Itagaki with casuals, non fans, and newbies coming in. How much difference would it make if DOAD remaster or DOA collection impact on today’s crowd? If making a lot of sales, would you see the possibility of faith in DOA being renewed until the newer games come out? What do you see DOA maintaining it’s two feet and facing an uphill battle from time to time? DOA has been rebuilding for years and it isn’t easy without Itagaki and for Team Ninja to depart its staff and the newer staff to take the mantle. Niche or whatever, DOA is a big name and it is needed to make money and success to live up to it’s popularity that many people and today’s fan have forgotten.

Now that the game is hard to find nowadays, it is becoming difficult to play the game in person after the online mode and eshop shut down. If you still have your copy, good as you should keep it all the time. If you are trying to find a copy, good luck as there is no telling how many there are left despite the game not selling well after it’s launch. Finding the copy is another reason why DOAD deserves a remaster or be part of the potential DOA collection.
