DOA5U London weekly casuals at the Heart of Gaming

It's been a while since I started holding weekly casuals for 5U after seeing some people requesting it on Fridays, which is also the KOF and Guilty Gear day at the HOG. I usually hold these sessions and they tend to go from overnight up until the next morning.

Monday £5
Tuesday £7
Wednesday £7 (VF casuals on this day)
Thursday £7
Friday £10
Saturday £10
Sunday £7

Overnight sessions are £5 and start from 12 midnight till 12AM.

Regulars are usually me and Shadowforce if he's there. Hurricane Rev and Tekken Tim also show up to play the game.

In case if I'm not there yet for some reason, ask for a copy of the game from reception and sit down in the console room. People who play DOA are bound to sit down if they see you play the game.

Hey, just a heads up, I'll be travelling to Belgium for KOF tourneys this Friday 18th Oct. The sessions will be continuing on as normal from next week.

What are the chances of something travel worthy happening monthly or bi-monthly?
If I knew more than 2-3 people would be there I'd probably be inclined to head down since it looks like I wouldn't need a hotel if I can stay awake.

Hey, sorry for the late response.

I'd prefer if people didn't have to go to hotels for the night just for weekly casuals or events. If we start doing monthly or bi-monthly stuff either at HOG or somewhere else, it would be better if we could organize something and people could stay with other players rather than go to hotels. If not, staying at hog wouldn't be a bad idea, unless you get unlucky and the DDR guys start pulling their usual all-nighter session.

How far are you from London?

Just over 3 hours from arriving in at Euston. I'm an hour west of Birmingham. I spend my weekends fighting on the border, keeping the Welsh in Wales.

Bi-monthly hotel isn't too bad since I can book train 1 month and pay for hotel the next. If we get any others travelling a twin isn't usually much if any difference so that usually works out nicely, whether we split or some poor student gets a free bed for the trip.
