Since Marvelous' Uppers...

... a beat em up where you go into battle with a cast of tough guys against hordes of street thugs, pretty much flopped and preorders were so low that they even were thinking to cancel the game altogether, they today announced:

oppais=japanese for boobs

They just gender swapped the complete cast in the same beautiful art style of Hiroaki (famous for his KoF designs) and preorders are suddenly soaring through the roof!

People apparently do believe we are "ban happy". Generally, those people are trolls who report that "they didn't do anything" to get banned.

I think we have a running total banned user count of.... 3? I know of two off the top of my head.

Yeah there are very few permabans and it's exceedingly rare that someone does get banned. I'm not shy about warning points, though, and people tend to not respect them until they hit the total needed for a ban. Ah well.

I know its an April fools but I'd actually probably get this game if they genderbent the characters to female.

Also I couldn't access the site either so at least I know now it wasn't just me!

Double posting is mostly a personal annoyance, though Brute enforces it too since coming on board. As for the site, it was down for everyone for a bit. I posted a little about why in the Modding forum but yeah.

Yeah, if you're banned, the site tells you you're banned. You don't get a weird error like "Database exception occurred."

Yeah, that was a result of bandwidth issues. Members were posting 5-7mb attachment screenshots and just using the "Spoiler" tag to hide the 20 or so they'd upload. Even after I've said that the Spoiler tag doesn't stop the images from loading. So the past two months, primarily due to the modding thread, I've come close to exceeding the potential bandwidth and space for the site. Since it continued after I made small comments about it, I've limited the attachment limits.
