New "Game Changing" Combos?

So TN has said returning DOA5 characters will have new "game changing" combos. Does that imply characters will have new moves or just different new combos with existing moves that deal with the "game changing" effect? Thoughts?

I'm nervous about this to be honest. I've worked extremely hard to learn the combos I have now. I don't really like the idea of them changing the rules like this. It took so long for me to get where I am at now, I don't want it to all be for nothing. I'm probably over reacting and it will probably be little changes that allow for combos where they didn't exist before though.

Ok, with the addition of Vf style heavy bound, spinning knock down and Head over heels knock down, juggles/combos will be expanded upon.

Game changing combo's is most likely: Power Launcher > Big Combo!

I doubt characters have any really NEW combo's... unless you're Kasumi who always gets more attention than the rest of the cast combined.

Juggled launch state have new animations, looks more floaty.then there's power launcher which will allow for new high damage juggles

Did we really need MvC style launchers, though?

That just seems REALLY out of place in Dead or Alive. Then again, so were "power blows"/"supers", and hit markers...

Not only that, it looks awkward as fuck. Wasn't DOA supposed to be about fluid animations that look somewhat realistic?

Same with the new stun states. C'mon, animation team. Aesthetics count. A lot.

Yeah it really seems like they are trying to make it...NOT be Dead Or Alive. DoA is like 75% aesthetics. Hence why losing nearly all the aesthetics in 5 threw the whole thing off from feeling like DoA.

Hitsparks were added for convenience, really. They're there so you can tell right away where a move hits. If you don't like them, turn them off. Done.
How are Power Blows out of place? They're just really strong martial arts hits, same with most of the strings characters perform.

I recommend people with groups of friends do the doa marathon i did with goro going from 1 to 5..

U will really appreciate the evolution pf the game and how truly superior it is both visually and gameplay wise, contrary to what many seem to think

Strong martial arts hits were already present. We already had "charged hits" that knock the opponent backwards. Power blows give off a huge windblast aura (Wish you could turn that off) and in DOA5 they cause a super move/combo that can rocket the opponent like 70 feet upward diagonally and pinball through the environment. DoA may have always been a little stylized, but that's just silly.

I didn't mind the hit effects or the Power Blow (because it did feel just as fluid), but Power Launchers ruin that fluidity. What's with that ridiculous spinning animation?

I doubt it, but I wish there'd be an option to turn Power Launchers off.

because a) It breaks the flow of the fight, and b) We know people are going to spend the entire match trying to spam it.
