Old players excited for a new game

I figure that there's a lot of people who used to play DOA4 religiously that are really looking forward to DOA5. I'm wondering, though...how many? I'm not sure how many of my friends will jump back into the ring, but I for one am incredibly hyped and whittling away the time until I can sink my teeth into another Dead or Alive game.

I really miss the first few years of DOA4, when all of the random lobbies were filled and all of the random people were...random. When I played with my friends and met some awesome people. Here's hoping that DOA5 beckons some of my old friends and just old players in general. Oh, and a less asshole-y randoms xD

Well I'm not sure if I'd count, since I never got the chance to netplay in DOA4, but I still consider myself an "Old" player, since I've been a fan of the series since DOA2.

One of the biggest things I'm looking forward to isn't even a gameplay mechanic, it's the POWER of the attacks, I noticed that whenever an attack landed or was blocked you could FEEL it. The hit sparks and sounds were all big and imposing, like playing Soul Calibur except turned up to 11.

I also heard about the possibility of Legit 2-in-1s, and if that's true then I'm definitely hype for that.

I'm looking forward to DOA5.....September still seems so far away even though we only have a few months left. When DOA4 came out my internet sucked so I really didn't get a chance to play it against random people. The few times I attempted to play it was lag city for me. I look forward to hopefully playing with some of you online.

I'd think now that it's several years ahead, most people have much better (and cheaper) internet connections, and the net code for the game itself should have had a vast improvement.

I'd wager it'll have even less lag than SCV

I'd expect nothing less than a good quality netcode as superb as Soul Calibur's, or perhaps even better. What has it been? 6-7years since a new DOA on console? The netcode should be good and nothing like DOA4's. DOA5 looked beautiful at the E3 build so I can only imagine what it's going to look like on my HD flat screen xD. The only thing i'm worried about is a crappy ost >.< DOA4 ost wasn't bad, but it wasn't as good as DOA2/3 ost. Other than that cheers to true 2in1's, and guaranteed damage.

Team Helena, Kokoro, and Eliot.
