PS3 or 360 for DOA5U online in UK/Europe

I've always enjoyed the DOA games and am looking to have anther stab at them with DOA5U, but as the series has never taken off in the Manchester area its going to have to be the way of the online warrior.

Is it PS3 or 360 which has the biggest player base online for the UK/Europe or doesn't it really matter?

Probably ps3, Xbox doesn't have complete support in all of europe.
