Hello, the goal here would be to create your personal review of other fighters (games), maybe with some few comments and background info for your impression.
I find it interested to "get it down on paper" what the community here things of the other fighters.

I'll jump start it myself

King of Fighters, 9/10
Have great visual details, fast paste combat that I enjoy, and is perhaps the most entertaining fighter to watch in my view. Only thing that pulls it down is that even though there has been some innovation, they are a 2D fighter with the limits that brings. I guess nostalgia is pretty strong in this one also though, so this may be somewhat biased.

Tekken 9/10
This is perhaps the innovation master of all the fighters. Used to be 10/10 back in the day with T3. Good balance, and well designed characters. I could probably spend pages about what is good with Tekken, but in order to make this short I'd tell why this is not 10/10. They lack complexity in my view. the block/hit system makes for a rather dull brain game, where it boils down to hit or not hit, and is not the most entertaining fighter to watch. I am not one who enjoys spamming combos at air lifted targets, or one who will attempt to use the same low kick or few set of moves, over and over and over again, just to win the space game (followed up with air juggles). That said it is a very good game in general.

Soul Calibur, 8.5/10
Soul Calibur adds parry to blocking, making the brain game more complex. It also has great variation in playstyle between the different characters. It used to be up there at 9.5/10, with their excellent chronicles of the sword in SC 3, but recent innovations has not stuck well with me, where to removal of this extremely entertaining single player content, together with the retirement of classic characters, has somewhat lowered their level in my eyes. That said, as a fighter the gameplay is still solid, and this is what is most important, which it why it still makes it out with a strong score at present.

Street Fighter, 8.5/10
Used to be a solid 10/10 back in the day, no question about it. However, I feel it is somewhat stuck in the past for both good and bad. Their lacking innovation makes it easy to jump right back in as an old timer, and if there are local tournaments it is no problem picking up Ken or Chun-Li and get the action going. However, there is a limit to how far nostalgia and easy access can get you, it is getting old and more of the same.

Smash Bros, 8/10
Great entertainment value, has developed with lacking balance and evolve more towards casual gameplay with your none-fighter friends (Melee was more competitive friendly, just look at EVO). Great for drinking games too, and nothing beats their 4 player free for all for casual fun.

Mortal Kombat, 7.5/10
Another great relic from the past. Their older games was probably closer to 8.5/10 in my view, but they've not been able to make the transition to newer consoles. Their combat feels slow and it is very boring to watch, and there are zero elements other than story, that I can think of, which this game does better than any other fighter. And story is only important when getting to know the characters in my view. Scorpions "get over here" never gets old, but it only gets you thus far.

Playstation Allstars, 6.5/10
To be fair, they've only had 1 game, and shouldn't be judged too harsh. They try to be super smash, but instead of nostalgia they introduce characters "to be", like future game Dante, Raiden, and so on. This makes it feel more like an advertisement product than actual fan based focused development.
With a roster of 20 characters, with 2 females where one of them are fat princess, this game scores as low as any game on esthetics. It is actually the kind of game that makes you realize that looks do matter. And when pretty much everything they do smash bros do better, where their "elimination" of opponents needs a serious work over as exciting moments become far between with their current setup.

As an end note I guess I could throw in

Dead or Alive, 10/10
Hits my demographics perfectly. Great variation in playstyles of characters. Great complexity. Great esthetics. Great gameplay in general, and tons of fun. Won't go into detail as everyone here knows this game.

Guilty Gear AC+ > Street Fighter III 3rd Strike > BlazBlue CS Extend > Arcana Heart 3 > Persona 4 Arena > DoA 5 > Darkstalkers > Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 > King Of Fighters XIII > Injustice > Mortal Kombat 9 KE

Well, the first two are in a different category in my humble oppinion and the last three I shouldn't have bought them.

No fighting game is perfect; they can only be improved upon.

That said, I rate all the fighting game series I played and personally enjoyed equally... DOA, Darkstalkers, Virtua Fighter, Dissidia. The rest fall under the following categories:

1) I felt obligated or forced to enjoy in order to appease a certain crowd.

2) I genuinely overlooked it.

3) I haven't played it, or haven't played it enough to give an educated opinion.

4) The game's characters don't match my personal preference.
