DOA5LR Region Incompatible? (PS4)

Hi!

I bought the full version of Last Round. My buddy in the UK d/led Last Round Core Fighters to try it out. We tried to do some sparring, but we couldn't get into a lobby together. I had lobbies in USA, Japan, Canada. He had European lobbies. When we tried to create lobbies and invite each other it said we had "different versions" of the game.

Is the game region locked in some way? If so, is there any way to get around it? There's a lot of games I can play with my friend with no trouble.

It seems like it would be a strange way to divide things up. For example, folks in New York are about twice as far from Tokyo as they are from London.

There is no region locking and you should be able to fight each other just fine, albeit while dealing with lag. The difference is that the patch hasn't rolled out everywhere yet so that's what you are waiting on.
