Re-read what I said. "Everyone is going to claim they clearly and carefully read each and every post and that it's the other person's lack of showing that same respect that leads to conflict, regardless of the validity of such claims." You're assuming people will read this and have a rational response to it, but that has traditionally not been something people here are good at (which you even admit).
Which is why I posted what I posted. Even in the last paragraph you quoted me in.
Ironic considering you just quoted and responded to one tiny expert from my post, an excerpt which you also misunderstood and "blew up" as I just explained.
I didn't blow up. I just gave you a fact & nothing but a fact. Sorry if it came out that way.
"The worth of this topic is somewhat akin to going on T.V. and telling atheists and theists that mudslinging is bad and to respect both sides (while simultaneously claiming that one side is somehow being more rational than the other)."
It's that group who is agreeing with you. The ones who you are defending and who support that view from the start. You're not going to reach any new people, or at least it's highly unlikely.
I shouldn't have to explain why "likes" do not validate an argument. CE: Lots of people "like" [opinion about them] but that doesn't convert opinion to fact, nor does it mean that the larger community agrees with that analysis. Also, they have no intrinsic scale of judgement, a clear threshold, etc.
