Has anyone noticed a difference between the normal SS and Power Blow cancel?

I'm not quite sure, but I think the PB Step Cancel works better.

I would like to know the frame data for stepping. Knowing this will allow us to know exactly how many frames it is active, how many it will evade, and how many frames you are vulnerable to high counter and counter strikes/throws. Also, I feel that they need to remove the High counter strike/throw penalties and just keep the counter.

Yeah I'm sure they could tweak from hi-counter to just counter blow, but whatever either way. You should be able to punish someone for stepping a little too much anyway. Its just like in Soul Calibur where you get counter hit leading into a possible high damage combo for trying to step at the incorrect time.

I don't think anyone here wants some perfect strategy where stepping always works (Hayates cartwheel lol). Just tha a high counter hit is a little excessive for a stepping input that doesn't have much wiggle room. Still a great tool, just needs to be worked on a bit.

The side step is a little assey but its better than guessing the X button - I really like that if you're walking sideways (hold up or down) all you have to do is tap the right bumper and you SS.

Yeah the side stepping could definitely be better. I haven't played much of the demo but your options out of the side step seem kind of bad. I kind of wish it was just like regular SS in other games where you just do it and get a nice punish like a launch or whatever you want. But whatever the game isn't out yet, so we'll see how it shapes up.
