Virtua Fighter Final Showdown coming to consoles 2012

Such great news - Virtua Fighter Final Showdown is the ultra refined version of Virtua Fighter. The fighting series that pioneered 3D and led the way to games like DOA is still the best crafted and balanced fighting engine there is.

DOA fans would definitely do well to add to their knowledge of fighting games by playing VF. Exciting stuff.

I played SF3 competitively for years, and as technical as that game is, it is no where near as deep as Virtua Fighter. The depth mostly comes from frame traps, the oki's, open/closed stances, throw/block system, sabakis, counter options and option selects. Also worth noting literally every move in VF has a purpose, unlike the 10% useful in say, Tekken.

VF has definitely earned my respect, and am so hyped for VFFS.
