We've all been playing the fighting games of other people's dreams for the longest and so from all that you've seen/played what do you want out of games? Also have you ever tired to make one or in process in making one now?(I've seen fair share of 2d ones but on the 3d side , it looks pretty non existent comparing it to 2d games.)
With 3d fighters , you have a lot of styles and weapons not utilized in games like Dead or alive , Tekken , VF, and Soul Calibur etc.
With 2d fighters , you could use different styles in setting and mechanics to give its own unique ways than the usual 2d games that we get from Japan like Blazblue , Gulity gear , KoF , and etc. (Would be nice to see western ones that got popular.)
What I want to see out of 3d fighting games at least is more fighting styles that aren't common used or spoken of by word of mouth. That would be the thing that would hype me most about the game over your bruce lee clones and karate users.
For 2d fighters , I would like to see good 2d that comes from western developers like the MK team and how it plays doesn't matter much to me but it would be a change of pace with all the Japanese ones. (There is skullgirls but if they wanted to get more hype for it , they should have added male cast and not made it an all female game.) (That was really the only game to emerge from western side for the longest and it was sad to see that it was only made to appeal to certain people...)
