[template=text-box-h2]title=Tag Change | align=left[/template] Pressing :F+P+K: will make your active character tag out and tag in their partner, provided they are not KO'd.
While tagging in and out you are high counter vulnerable to strikes and throws.
If your back is within close proximity of a wall, you are unable to tag out. Tagging a character in while your opponent is stunned or launched will result in a quick tag change, where you don't have to wait for your active character to tag out before their partner enters.
When performing a quick tag change, the rule about not having your back to a wall is ignored.
[template=text-box-h2]title=Tag Throws | align=left[/template] You can perform tag throws to deal damage to your opponent while also switching to your tag partner, provided they are not KO'd.

In DOA2U, :4::F+P+K: will perform a generic tag throw.
In DOA2U, :6::6::F+P+K: will perform a special tag throw. If your tag team does not have any special tag throws, you will instead get a generic tag throw.
In DOA2U, :236::F+P+K: will perform a second special tag throw. If your tag team does not have a second special tag throw, this input does nothing.
Note that whether you have a second tag throw will depend on your active character. For example, Bass only has one special tag throw going to Leon, while Leon has two special tag throws going to Bass. As a rule of thumb, characters above and below each other on the character select screen will always have unique tag throws with each other. In DOA3, you have no inputs for performing tag throws specifically. Instead your :F+P: throw gets overwritten by a tag throw, provided your partner is not KO'd. If your team has a special tag throw, you will always perform it, and are thus unable to use your character's generic tag throw. Characters with a second special tag throw will typically have it on :6::F+P: or :4::F+P:. [template=text-box-h2]title=Tag Attacks | align=left[/template] In DOA3, you can perform tag attacks that switch in your partner and have them perform an attack. The DOA manuals refer to this action as Attack Change.
:6::F+P+K: performs a forward tag attack.

:4::F+P+K: performs a backwards tag attack.

:2::F+P+K: performs a tag down attack. This can only be done while the opponent is launched or downed.
Tag attacks are also subject to quick tag changes. If you perform one while your opponent is stunned or launched, it will come out immediately. [template=text-box-h2]title=Health recovery | align=left[/template] A character that is not currently tagged in will slowly recover lost health, at a rate of 1 health every 20 frames.
