Good game, Bad game Online/Offline thread

what's the point of winning when you don't even have to DO anything to win?

The point is to win the neutral game, that is, to get the juggle going in the first place. That requires skill. That's the way tag is, it would be foolish not to use the most damaging juggles, even if they are infinites. I don't play tag much, since I don't like the long juggles. The fault isn't in Gehaktbal, it's in game design. Even though some argue, that the long ass juggles are just fine.

I'm surprised by you answering this way, I know you're a better player than me for example, and in my experience top players tend to accept the "anything to win" mentality.

@Kronin Read above. The skills that you are asking for, is the skill to win the neutral game. That is even more important in tag than in 1v1.

Bayman007 is the portuguese Bayman on X360? If so he's awesome in a very bizarre way.
Plays in a strange way that makes him seem like he's not that good and that you got victory in your hands.
The second you think that, it's the moment you're gonna lose under his pressure ;)
Haven't seen him online in ages.

Haven't seen Alan in ages too. Wonder how much he improved in the time being, I remember some good matches against him some time ago.
hi.Bayman007, is that his gamertag?I ask because I have few portuguese player in my friendlist, I need more ppl with good connection. I find myself playing with the same good players over and over (p1naatt1, lokus, etc)

Well when I play, I prefer that both my opponent and I have fun. I don't enjoy infinites, and I know few people would ever find it fun to get stuck in them. I guess my mentality isn't that I'll do anything to win, but rather try to make sure everyone has fun.

Winning isn't everything, as they say. Well, unless money is on the line xD

It's just a personality thing, I guess. I look at it like a game of chess, you always go for the best move, and the fun is in finding the tools that take you to victory as efficiently as possible, within the rules of the game. For example, the most fun I have is probably sinking in 4 Hitomi's 2H+Ks in a row to finish off the opponent. Or 4 running Ps. It's not fun for the other party, but maybe they've learned something...

I always have fun when you try to sink in a running P on me with your Hitomi and I Teishitsu under it to throw you into a n air juggle :p :p
Well, the few times I get the timing right I suppose xD

Not a thread I usually go in, since I consider most games good games and even have that as my status xD but anyways, good games to Emann and Something-Unique a few nights ago on the PS3. Those were incredibly fun.

Bad games to jasonX123345 for saying I grab too much and then kicking me from the lobby. I'm a grappler. I'm supposed to grab. Especially if you're spamming a mid punch hold every time you enter stun. You see, both my mains are 99% mid punches. So if I keep using strikes, you'll hold me with your mindless spam. But, I get huge damage off of hold spammers. So if you don't like getting grabbed all the time, stop being such a dumbass.

What is it with this: "grabbing too much" trend? It didn't seem to start until recently. But now every single tool decides to have a hissy fit when they pick high tier characters and lose to grapplers 'cause they're morons. Annoying.

edit: and ggs to the lot of you I played today. Ran into quite a few FSDers. Good stuff. :)

ggs to @Return of the Shadow

Been awhile, and it was great playing with you despite some lag hiccups. Great Momiji.
Hopefully I improved somewhat since the last time we played and provided a decent challenge.

edit: whoops, sorry for the double-post. Didn't realize

edit 2: good games to @UpSideDownGRUNT Ryu mirrors! Good stuff

Bad games to FinalFantasyX10, a scrubby lagger who taunts at match start. Uses Christie, spams a mid hold the second they enter stun, free HiC Izunas all day. Whopped 'em. They then kick me from the lobby, claiming that they are better than me. PSN is so fuckin' dumb...
