DOA5 E3 Version Q&A

i gotta applaud Rikuto and DrDogg for their acting skills.could never tell just how much yall really despised Master from the E3 stream.

I respect all but honestly, It's called keeping it professional; why would anyone want to act out because of Forum disagreements and even more importantly, in front of Team Ninja? At the end of the day, we are all DOA Fans so thinking about some Drama was the least thing on their minds bro.

I read both of you and Manny's feedback and this is what I have to say, how are you and Rikuto going to convince TN to take what you guys say, rather than Manny? This can further damage DOA's rep and all that excitement and playing the Alpha Demo and E3 build, just to get this to become a competitive fighter, will be all for naught. Can you guys get some solid evidence to show TN, that if they listen to Manny and his crew, things can get bad?

I have no evidence I can provide other than DOA 4 itself, and I've made clear my position on Manny. They still seem to think he is a community leader which is... an unfortunate understanding of the man as one has to actually be a part of a community to have any stake in leading it. Can't say I blame them though -- Manny has always been good at promoting himself as something he is not.

I've been assured that they are not listening to him anymore than they are listening to us, and they don't care where a good idea comes from as long as it is a good idea.

So far, however, we have been on the right path so all we can do is keep trying to push them down the correct path and pray they don't tread off into the wilderness.

Time will tell how closely our visions align.

Ok that's pretty good to know :) I REALLY hope things will continue to go down the right path. Manny however seems to be one big hypocrite when he's talking about repetitiveness, when all he does is the same air juggles, combos, and throws, then does izuna drops. It also seems like he's really afraid of this game being in the competitive scene due to him being curbstomped by someone much better. I find it weird that his review on the E3 build isn't here and that he's been absent for a good while as well......

Nonetheless I bare no grudge against him, and regardless if he likes it or not, I hope that DOA5 will be spot on for competitive play and perhaps be on par with TTT2 if not surpass it. :)

I believe Tom (Brady) said it best when he stated something along the lines that Manny only wants the game to play the way he wants it to play.

Everyone wants the game to play the way they want it to be played...
But there's the question of whether it's in a way that's good or bad for the game's community and from what I remember of how Tom said it, he's referring to it in a negative way.

Just one question, how was Ayane in the E3 build ? She was not so good in the Alpha demo.
Ayane was Boss! Whatchu talking about? she can whoop some ass and I dont even play with her like that. If she had to be one of my mains she would be second. Her spins are amazing in the Alpha demo.

Not sure you can call the competitive fighting game community "A lot of people," by any means, lol. And, to be honest, if that's true, you'd love casuals.

What you probably meant to say is "skilled people."

whether you would like to admit it or not the majority of DOA players are casuals/scrubs whatever the hell you call them are what keeps this game alive not a small group like this.

Casuals contribute to the majority of sales, but they don't keep games alive at all. You want proof? Go look at fighting games that came out ten years ago and see who's still playing. It's not the casuals.

Unfortunately, Money > Nostalgia in the business world.

Casuals keep the series alive, not any specific game in the series.
