I actually don't see much of a necessity to hold yet another costume contest...other then just for fun and for the sake of it.
TN should have good ideas en masse after two contests. Combined there were about 800 costume designs submitted and only the tiniest fraction of those are recreated so far. How about they scoop out this pool of designs before they start yet another one? I don't think , I would participate in another contest anyway. Would you guys?
I believe that in the mind of TN the creation of DLC from the contest is the last of the thoughts: they make it for involving the community for the sakè of it, in addition to bring popularity to the game through similar initatives. Then, just because this seems to be something pretty unique in the videogame worldn should be right to encourage the most possible it: maybe other companies could end to follow their example.
I will partecipate definitely to other contests, not only because would be great to get a reward from TN or to contribute to the game through the implementation of a personaloutfit, but overall because my first purpose it's always been the one to create an outfit appreciated from a large part of the community indipendently from its fate.
So far no one of my outfits reached something similar and very likely I completely miss the talent for it XD, but I willl continue to try =)
Maybe TN needs to be more clear about rules if there's a new costume contest, like "we don't promise to anyone that if a costume wins it will be in the game. Costumes can be modified, mixed and used for another characters if we consider it's necessary".
To be fair they said more times the first part of the rule while the second one, even if maybe never completely explicited, it was easy to suppose considering their behavior with the previous fan designs and the statement that the property of the designs end to be their after the sending.
@Squizzo: It's just me or such bottle for pirate Brad Wong is not included in other outfits of his vestiary (seems me to think that the glass is brown in the Cowboy and Werewolf's outfits)?
