Hitomi is too weak

She doesn't have anything remotely scary.

- High damage output
- Safety
- Spacing tools
- Punch parry
- 6T reset throw
- Very good KBD
- Annoying lows

I'd say these things are pretty scary.

"Mix-ups" are easily interrupted. Her string delay is slow af, and most of her strings are high-low.
6T reset is easily beaten by fuzzy guarding.

Fuzzy guarding is easily beaten by conditioning your opponent. Wait for the fuzzy guard... then throw again immediately!

Pretty much everything in the whole game can be beaten by conditioning. That's why I think the mindgame is so important.

That's why there's nothing more than a 7:3 match-up.

I'm saying Hitomi is weak because she goes through a lot more trouble than other characters. The arguments against her being weak have been she's better than this character, or she has this tool. Being better than Ein doesn't count for much, and every tool has a use. None of that means they're better than the rest of the cast.

Because she's not a weak character when her mid/low game is actually formidable both in CQC and at at least 2-3 different ranges. With an actual solid damage output and can knock you back from the damage output and force you to start over to get in again.

But I don't have time to write novels these days and it accomplishes nothing when people don't acknowledge information anyway.

Nothing anyone here has said in reference to Hitomi being weak has proven she is a weak character.

You see, that's where you're wrong, again. Jann lee is very good at a distance and for keeping his opponent's out. He's very good at that. However, when he has to move forward, most if not all of his distance tools become very subpar. Jannlee is actually weak when he has to move forward.

Hitomi is not weak when she keeps opponents out or moves forward. Hitomi also has much better whiff punishment than Jann lee. If anyone is to compare that and say Jann's is better, you're smoking that good shit.

Hitomi's 6T is a great throw for mix up because she actually has good moves to compensate for not having a guarantee follow up. If we were talking about Kasumi and her 46T, then I'd be in agreement to say that throw is subpar because it is (Kasumi has absolutely nothing scary in general, she's just fast).

Every time I see a thread like this here these days, it really feels like people just want the character they play to carry their play. Rather than play and make the most of their character and get better at playing the game.

To be fair.... I thought Hitomi would be easier to grasp. Maybe if I stuck with her longer I would eventually use her tools right.

People say Hitomi is weak because they are not applying the character's tools well enough or correctly. All there is to it. And folks need to stop justifying balance via online play. Lag skews everything..

Awww don't mark me as the villain here Lulu, of course I care!!! I just run the entire gaming scene for RI and practically the entire 3D scene for New England. I do not have time to sit here a write a book to disprove non believers that Hitomi is without a doubt one of the strongest characters in this game. You know how I do it @Lulu by playing them all! When I get the time to do so. You all can easily catch me at NEC this year and I will personally disprove any theory you non believers have. Until then I expect some more active posters on FSD can back me up here. I will gladly dish out all the information I can learn from you guys ^_~

But until then this thread is ridiculously bad and I will be powering up for all you Hitomi believers out there!!!
