helena is french so it make sense for her maid to be european born caucasian.
It doesn't make much sense at all and is clearly an outdated idea that Japanese/East Asians have of Europe. In Western Europe maids, especially these kinds of "French Maids", have become very uncommon, even among the very rich.
If Helena would indeed have a maid, she would also very likely not be Scandinavian (which is a very rich and socially advanced region) but would be from Eastern Europe. Basically: The equivalent of a stereotypical Mexican or Puerto Rican maid called "Consuela" in a rich North American household would be an "Olga" from Poland or Ukraine in a rich European household.
But as I said the idea of having a full-time servant is outdated, from a bygone age. The richer Western Europeans are the less likely would they flaunt their wealth with maids, cooks, butlers etc. It's seen as bad taste and something only nouveaux riches would do.
