Ah gotcha, I'll take a screenshot when I hop on the demo later today Brute. Going to start coop as well for the beta first time since a friend over at my area comes from Bloodborne and has never even heard of NiOh till now, he's enjoying it a lot.

Finally got to start playing Sunday. Made it to the second stage last night after completing that side mission. Up to the second shrine now.
Originally wel in on dual katana but I've reverted to single katana for the most part. I like that some of the old combo endera are now standalone attacks and the combat system is really exhanced. I like the changes so far, having a lot more fun this time around (probably from a lack of weapon degradation).

I'm probably not going to be able to get to the second boss in time, since i have little time to play during the week, and internet doesn't want me to play when i can. But hori shieet, this game is amazing, and i'm for sure getting the full thing once it releases.

run from her don't try and dodge her. hit her twice during her recovery then back off and repeat. its not particularly glorious or fun, but it does get the job done with minimal effort.

I barely started the second main mission, when i say internet isn't letting me play, i really mean it.

@Brute @CyberEvil

This is the mimic squirrel(?) that transforms into you.

These are two new gestures from encountering it twice.

If it appears after you open the box don't attack. Lock on to it and perform a gesture towards it. I think specific gestures unlock specific ones from it. Afterwards, wait until it responds to you (he'll even follow you and watch you attack other soldiers/yokais and it'll even laugh) attack it and the gesture will be awarded to you as a drop.

Afaik you only get 2 gestures from those guys: ”Frustration” and “Overjoyed”
”Frustration” they perform a gesture and you do another one, or nothing at all and ”Overjoyed” if you mirror their gesture properly. Not sure how to get the ”Nioh Stance(Resolute)” I have this one as well and on a save where I only encountered one mimic (which officially gave me the “Overjoyed” gesture)

Someone on my list has a gestured named "Stretching". Never seen "Overjoyed", but you can perform certain gestures for them to react differently (sometimes they'll do the same thing as last time).

Huh, that's weird. Thought the only way to obtain them was from that. You remember how you received Resolute Brute?

What are your favorite skills?

Katana "Haze II": The most powerfull katana skill...and maybe the most powerful (and cool) weapon skill. It takes a few seconds to kill any enemy. Needs to be toned down a bit. I think the opponent shouldn't fall after the hit.

Katana "Morning Moon" : Great against bosses, low hitbox enemies and narrow places.

Spear "Piercing Rain" with damage upgrade: Devastating against single enemy.

Spear "Windmill II" : Very usefull against multiple enemies that don't have hyper armor.

Ninja "Smoke Ball" and "Suppa" : Almost feels like cheating.

Onmyo "Talisman Sloth" : When you have to deal with more than one boss type enemies.

(I don't use dual katana and axe.)

Don't recall the name for it, but the Low/Medium stance Light>Heavy>Heavy+Heavy combo with the dual swords is one of my favorites, as well as the Low Stance Light>Forward+Dodge>Light combo for the Staff.

That feeling when you get a really good Raikiri from a Revenant. Beat Hino-Emma and tried the Warrior (forget his name already but I'll try him later). Just grinded some Revenants and got some pretty good armor and three Raikiris.

You guys have been finding some really strong weapons. Think my Raikiri and Dual Katanas are 34-35.

Shit, really want the full game now as we speak.

What level? Highest equipment I've been able to farm is 36.
I say really good but it is only level 29 (I'm only about level 25 now but I got it at 22). Other equipment I've gotten is about that level. I find it interesting that you can equip weapons that are above your level.

Finally found a mimic chest guy! Got the happy emote.

The trick is to farm Tachibana. He regularly drops level 34-36 equipment, which you can then Soul Match using the Blacksmith.
