DOA6 Gameplay Thread

Break Blow cancels are fine as they allow for some more creativity in combos for the cost of a full stick of butter. More importantly, it allows for more options options for guaranteed damage - something that ends up emphasizing the neutral more.

This is what we needed to see. The extent of what the meter and the new mechanics can do etc.

Good shit.

I just don't agree with it since it can be used during a juggle. Its a little excessive to me.

It's tempered by the fact that they're spending their entire bar to do it, so they're sacrificing options for it.

Besides, it still makes for more freedom and creativity than what we've currently got in DOA5.

I like the ways combos look now. I like a good ground neutral game, but big combos are always fun to me in fighting games. When I heard the juggles would be shorter and there was no CB, I was fine with it, but felt it may run dry months into DOA6. BB cancels for a restand followup is awesome and will deepen each character in an interesting way. I still have no complaints about the game from everything I've seen so far.

There's no more force teching for 6? I think I seen a video, but I'm not sure.

Force techs are still in the game but only from a natural combo force get up. (2x 2Ps or lows in general that leaves up to a 2-hit combo mark on ground will force someone up, however single hard hitting grounded attacks such as Helena's sweep no longer force tech currently).

That sounds almost like DOA4's ground game, except in that game it required 2x 2Ks or 2k and any low.

Well DOA5 vanilla was a bit on the similar. Think the only difference is the conditioning factor seeing as you can get up from the first 2P. I believe that if the opponent got up from the first 2P and you whiffed the second one into thinking they'll stay on the ground, the second attack would be at disadvantage for the attacker since he/she whiffed the second low while the opponent in the rising recovery state while invulnerable to the second low strike.

It's a sort of wake up option game with whether you want to immediately get up or wait a bit before getting up. Pretty heavy on the Yomi which is pretty alright.

like I said before,2-hit FT exists, but they can WUK you in the face when you try to force-tech them even you have a huge ground advantages, like leifeng's 2HK in juggle, zack 6K2K normal hit etc.
The only chance that you can successfully force-tech your opponent is they lie on the floor wihout push a button until you hit them twice .oh one more thing,if you hit them once and trying to hit them another, they can still WUK your ass lol.

So,yes,force-tech still in this game,fact ;)

PS:tested in TGS build, might be changed

At certain level of play, you can create a scenario by whiffing certain attacks or ones with huge amount of recovery to where a certain low will connect afterwards and prevent wake up attack options. There are setups in DOA that prevents wake up kicks in general the moment they touch the ground, sometimes you can whiff a throw near the wall into a 2P and the low will connect. Just depends the advantage you have and recovery to where you are not open for a free wake up attack.

Example like Hayabusa, if you whiff a 6T near a wall after you splat with PP4PP, he can land 7K at that very same moment for when someone wants to wake up kick and completely prevents them from doing it. He has an unholdable for this situation with another move, and the 7K that stops wake up kicks giving him advantage.

oh well I know that,it usually happens in wall games,or some charactors' pseudo force-tech set ups
but my post is for DOA6,all this shits are gone in DOA6,like your example ryu's 6T full wall splat set ups,it's gone, they could WUK ryu's ass if ryu dares to 7K,boom counter hit:rolleyes:
