Bayo 1 vs Bayo 2 has been a longstanding debate but having recently completed both it really is just a case of picking your poison

Bayo 1 is great game with one hit kill QTE's, mandatory and annoying set piece minigames, endemic backtracking, and some inconsistencies when it comes to cancelling

Bayo 2 is a great game with nerfed defensive mechanics, nearly useless witch time, non-staggerable enemies, and brutally unfair max difficulty

just pick the one that annoys you the least

WOOF WOOF! Chain Chomp is my favorite weapon of all time so Bayo 2.
anyone getting on that Multiversus Beta or nah

Update: I downloaded Multiversus, I thought the Open Beta was the Founders Pack which cost between $39.99-$99.99 hence the reason I didn't think about getting the Multiversus Beta.

Velma's fun, but yeah the cool downs and the grindy f2p stuff and the seemingly lack of substantial single player content are deal-breakers for me
Komi-san is literally Sakaki from Azumanga Daioh but even more socially inept

And Otori and Netsuno feel like more extreme versions of Osaka abd Kagura, also from Azumanga Daioh, makes me wonder if Komi's mangaka was influenced by Azu in any way
Mai 46K really is one of those "imma just make my hurtbox disappear right quick k thnx" type moves, don't remember it being that obnoxious back in DOA5, then again i've fought alot more Mai in 6 than 5, maybe it was always that obnoxious
Replaying Bayo 1+2 to prep for Bayo 3, forgot how freaking difficult Bayo 2's infinite climax mode was, makes the first games infinite climax look like a complete joke

Interesting, haven't tried Bayo 2 out since I don't have a Switch but I will in the near future with emulation (Switch one if it works well, if not then Cemu) but if Infinite Climax is even harder in the sequel then I highly doubt that I'll be touching it, 100% not if Witch Time is removed like in Bayo 1's Infinite Climax difficulty.
huh, Bayo 3 and has togglable censorship and people aren't boycotting and losing their minds? odd, I guess ppl are so hyped for Bayo 3 that a little on/off switch on the nudity isn't gonna faze Bayo fans

Some were kinda losing their minds before they announced that feature because some people were watching the trailers carefully and noticing that Bayo wasn't getting as nakey as in previous games, so if anything I'd think the news and the way they tweeted about it (pretty much like "relax, we see you freaking out already" lol) would actually put out some fires.

Because having the option makes both parties happy.

I'd be really interested in this party of Bayo fans who love Bayonetta but just can't stand to see her get naked, seems like there would be very little overlap

on second though maybe it's for streamers and youtubers, "hey you wanna showcase this game without getting demonetized? well here's a mode for you!"
been playing yu gi oh at my local card shop lately and it's been great, except for one guy who shows up and unironically plays a bunch of banned and limited card like a real life Marik Ishtar

and if you call him out on it, he just goes "it's just casuals bro, don't sweat it"

if it's just casuals, why the hell are you playing cards like Imperial Order (banned) and 3 copies of Harpies Feather Duster (limited to 1)

I guess the ban list doesn't mean much to casuals but it's still weird to play guys like this at such a low casual level, it's like when ppl pick Gill in 3S online, like are you serious bro?
Skate 4 (now officially called "skate") is going be a F2P game, which is super worrying in a day and age where F2P can mean anything from "you can spend irl money on aesthetics" to "you need to spend $1000 just to make reasonable progress"
booted up SC6 for the first time in a long time, it's aged quite well and is a fantastic game, just a shame that it doesn't have a single character that i gel with :/

Even knowing the shortcut (double circle input starting at 3 and ending at 1/6) my success rate with it was like 40/60, which is still mad inconsistent, even when I buffered it behind other moves, and that's just in training mode, but your are right about difficult inputs in SC

it's like if you just do the ez stuff with SC characters you get a functional but nowhere near optimal version of the character, but if you actually wanna be a threat be prepared to learn some strict timings and complex inputs, it's a neat way to balance the game and reward players who actually put in work (VF is similar in that regard as well)

Some good suggestions for Ivy's Calamity Symphony & Summon Suffering in SCVI. It's honestly alright if you can't execute the JF versions, the regular versions are still good and can be buffered (The move tips even implies it). Along with Ivy, have you considered Hwang, Setsuka, Cervantes or Raphael? All great characters, and not "basic".
3 things I've learnt being an old man trying to get back into Yu-gi-oh!
    1. Normal monsters suck
    2. Most traps suck
    3. Big Boss monsters with no effects or protection suck

also ignoring modern mechanic because u wanna be stubborn is the quickest way to lose, so I guess that's 4 lol
TN: we couldn't include Bankotsubo in DOA5 for budget reasons

Also TN: *releases over 1000$ worth of purely aesthetic DLC*

So Ein is just Hayate on his day off when he's being casual

lol never thought of it like that
    Awesmic
    Awesmic
The only way I can see Ein's return being justified narratively at this point is if he starts off an evil clone by MIST, only to defect with the power of anime bullshit and cabbage courtesy of Hitomi.

I mean, if it worked for Leifang...

I'm not talking about Ein being back in the story, story wise he's gone, he's Hayate but he is still a decent addition to the roster. And again you can do what DOAD did which is have Hayate use his Ein persona to go undercover in public. As terrible as DOAD's story is I'm pretty sure it's the only DOA to do that lol
DBZF season 4: fullscreen options that lead into death

Guilty Gear Strive: fullscreen options that lead into death

DnF: fullscreen options that lead into death

starting to see a pattern here...

but it seem like Arcsys said fck it, and now just have characters across 3 games that completely dump on this philosophy and offer the best of both worlds, you get to be fullscreen and safe and if you land a hit, you do mad dmg! personally i dont like it but the fact the these game are some of their best selling titles, clearly everyone else does
    ChaolanLegacy
    ChaolanLegacy
Tbf, those options don't happen often in Strive unless if the opponent plays Chipp or the Risc gauge is very high, in which case whatever hit that lands from which you can get a combo going is going to hurt. Even so, FighterZ always had high damage or death combos from close range or fullscreen with meter and/or spark and DnF is a modern day kusoge, don't need to say anything else about the latter.
    ChaolanLegacy
    ChaolanLegacy
Strive iirc is also nerfed the damage on some attacks not too long ago, so I'd say that we're at a point were the damage is slightly above moderate, which considering where that was during the first beta's I'd say that its an improvement. Even some of the older games had characters who were able to do a ton of damage (XX Sol) but it does seem to be more and more common within the latest ArcSys games, thats true.
