Decided that I will mainly do a log on how I did against the bosses of the game because most of the enemies of the game is mainly hit and miss in terms of giving me difficulty(mainly the One Eyed Oni can be a true prick but I usually just go Living Weapon on them or wail on their smaller versions if I can't kill those in time).

Hino-Enma:
I'm honest to god not even certain how I beat her...it.
Dodging her paralyzing blasts is basically damn near before it hits you which I failed almost every time and it wasn't easy finding exploitable openings and when I did knock her stamina down, I got too careless and she basically took down my whole offense with that grab. So when I just used Living Weapon when her stamina was down and just ended her after that. Died like 3-4 times.

This is probably on the level of "Fuck this boss" territory. Either I died due to not being able to exploit it's openings fast enough, getting caught on a lightning bolt I thought for sure I dodged(not helping at all that those lightning bolts bring in Yokai Realms...huzzah) and it's stamina bar was honestly off completely(half of the time I would kill it's stamina while it still showed it halfway at times) I truly felt like I won over luck and not skill(I took it real slow and hugged his midsection hard but I could have easily died if it did certain moves instead of others. Probably died 3-4 times here too.

Muneshige Tachibana:
It's funny how losing this fight so many damn times in the demo(okay to be fair, the demo one is a stronger version of him), I beat him without a single death. Although it was definitely the first fun fight I had in awhile. He wasn't too complicated and at the same time, didn't abuse Yokai Realms or status attacks like a motherfucker so that's a plus.

I've always found Hino-Enma rather easy. If you're having trouble dodging her paralysis blasts, simply switch to high stance for the longer dodge animation.

Nue is just a laggy dick. He's either too hard or too easy depending on your gear/build.

I didn't know High Stance has a longer dodge animation, good to know.

And yeah I had the feeling since there was times I SHOULD have dodged a Lightning Flash only to suddenly get hit as if I was a second off.

I'm around Level 170 now and using (+7) gear, and it feels like I'm terribly over-powered. It would be really neat if they added a new difficulty setting that was intended for high-level characters, where even the early levels posed a challenge to anyone not using Sloth or Dual Swords.

Also, I'm very ready for the DLC. I crave more.

So things they added, the function to pause the game now when you are playing solo. Not bad.

It looks like the Suzaku spirit and a weapon got nerfed now? can't understand them since the patch notes are all JPN. If someone can provide the english one that'd be great. Something about recovery and skill blades more consumption?

EDIT: Found it. It's not a super rough translation but saw it on Reddit.

Changes and Adjustments

Suzaku was made less effective in general (doesn't specific how). [Confirmed Nerf by Asian Region Players]
Suzaku guardian spirit clears status aliments upon activation.
Stance change ki pulse will now cancel a normal ki pulse.
Adjusted of the attack power granted and duration of "Carnage Talisman"
Adjusted of the attack power granted and duration of "Power pill"
Adjusted the damage of the Axe Mystic Art "Intensity"
Quick-Change Scroll activation will remove status aliments.
Adjusted the damage of the Sword Mystic Art "Sword of Execution"
Adjusted the Ki consumption of the kusarigama weapon skill "Blade Spin"
Adjusted the rate that debuffs are applied via throwing weapons.
Adjusted made to Fire Talisman, Water Talisman, Earth Talisman and Wind Talisman.

Adjustments were made to the camera angles in The Tower of London

Bug Fixes

Fixed a bug that caused players who died at the same times as the boss to not receive mission rewards.
Fixed a Bug where glory acquired was not being applied to glory contributed to clans.
Fixed a bug where players received the wrong reward for the personal ranking they in clan battles.
Fixed a bug relating to attacking opponents who had the fire debuff.
Fixed bug that Mimics attack power was not scaling to the level.
Fixed a bug that "Titles Collected" in the gameplay records would not reach 100%
Fixed a bug that prevented "Hide helmet" from working correctly in online multiplayer.
Fixed a bug in Mr. Sakata Kimi (???I don't know???)
Fixed a bug that allowed for enemies to repeatedly knocked up when already airborne.
Fixed a bug with Nobunaga Oda that caused the AI move erratically when the weapon skill "Backwave" was canceled early.
Fixed a bug that caused certain bosses not to spawn if holding at bow at the start of the fight.

Another round of balance patches, and Sloth remains unaffected. I feel like there's one guy at Team Ninja who can only beat the game with Sloth, and so they leave it in there just for him as a soft "Easy mode."

Any idea if the "Sword of Execution" damage went up or down? I assume down, sadly.

Probably. Also the complaints about Suzaku are going fierce right now on sites and GameFaqs. They are mentioning that the longer you hold Suzaku the worse it becomes due to removing the constant build up of Amrita gauge to keep it alive and the damage nerf to all attacks including the spirit attack the longer you are in it.

At this point, it might be safe to say that Suzaku might be one of the worst ones now with the exception of the new buff to cleanse all ailments, but for all that I can just pop in supplies. Death activation is still there, but everything else? might as well just use another spirit with better tenacity or gauge building.

Frankly I'd be gung-ho with them nerfing the shit out of every Living Weapon and relegating spirits to their passives and Talisman functions.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but whatever. It's a dumb mechanic and I hate it.

The Bad News: Most of the missions are just double-boss fights.

The Good News: Some of them aren't; and those that aren't are pretty fun.

If they wanted to make more enhanced boss battles, I would've liked to see them add regular mook enemies to certain boss battles. I'm glad it was removed from the main game missions, but that kind of challenge could be fun in co-op. Instead, they just went with more double-boss fights, which were never fun and still aren't. Shame.

Uh..I think this is new? (haven't played in awhile so I wouldn't know, will test out when I get back home) but coop missions now de-level you in equivalent to whoever you are partnered with in games now I heard. Looks like you can't carry people below your level.

Also forgot to mention that the critical builds took a hit when I tried the patch while ago. Fanatic armor (big hit) and Sanada armor took a hit as well.

De-leveling has been in the game since before this patch. You could still carry people pretty easily with superior equipment, however. They may have increased the overall stat reduction, but it was in there since before this patch.

Today the Japanese magazine Weekly Famitsu included a mini-interview with NiOh Game Director Fumihiko Yasuda, and it included some rather interesting information.

First of all, Yasida-san is aware that female characters are very popular, but doesn’t yet know whether it’ll be possible to add transform skins for them. That said, he’d like to positively consider the option.

On the other hand, asked whether it’d be possible to add Honoka and Ayane from Dead or Alive, he laughed and said that it won’t happen.

We also hear about “The Dragon of Tohoku“ The story DLC coming in April will show William’s progress in the world after the ending of the game. In the Tokugawa domains in Tohoku region there is a disturbing atmosphere, so he’ll travel there to investigate. There he will meet the warriors of Tohoku such as Date Masamune, and the yokai from the tradition of the Tono area, the inland part of the Iwate Prefecture.

Asked about a sequel, Yasuda-san answered that NiOh was highly praised not just in Japan, but also overseas, so there are many voices demanding a sequel. Hisashi Koinuma, who is the game’s Producer and Koei Tecmo’s President, also heard about that. While the development of sequel has not been decided yet, Yasuda-san would like to consider it positively.

He did say Ayane too and it was obviously on the capitalizing on the fandom craze of Honoka and Marie Rose(If it was Helena...)

But anyway, I'm still at a real loss on how hard is it really for them to make the skins of the female characters? I mean you couldn't say the exact same thing for the male characters that was made for the skins? Do they all have different moves overall than William does? Because if they don't, then making an overall female base models for the females in general shouldn't be that difficult. If they do, then I can see that being a little more difficult to do.
