  • So, Arcana Blood is pretty much balanced Arcana Heart 3 with no fly mechanic and drastically scaled back, I love it! shame I don't know anything about the anime it's based but it;s still a great fighting game
    Kula is a weird one, she's a i9/i11 framer with weak mix, ALOT of safe strings, and a terrible grab game, but she's (imo) the more fun of the two, curious to see how ppl will play her in coming days

    yeah that line read was weird, volume goes too low towards the end and he doesn't even say "Mine" towards the end, just "MAH", but i still like it lol

    Shang Tsung says this it quite a lot when he kills someone with a Brutality, which can make it a bit annoying after a while. Fortunately, Brutalities aren't really frequent and even if the player playing him kills someone with a Brutality, he can say something else.
    Yo why does Kula 6t connect at starting distance!? srsly go to training mode, pick kula, 6t at the start and prepare to have you mind blown by the range

    Going over the patch notes and i can't say nothing too crazy happened, just alot of QoL changes, normalization across the cast, and a few buffs here and there, good stuff!
    real talk, how the heck do you convert off Mai 214p+k? can't seem to connect anything after it cept near the wall

    In DOA5 it also had massive pushback and you really couldn't connect anything. I haven't played Mai yet in 6 but I always used to finish with a short string like 3PK, 3PP or 6PKP. I think it's just a lot of trial-and-error and hope we find something that works.

    3PK I think reaches in open space, but ideally you'd do it as a wall bound combo and to 6PKK.
    So Mai, she lost her 66k but new 66k is a gaurdbreak, she has a launcher throw now (ugh), 236k is now safe, 6p follow up retracks so no sidestep for you, and she has an air throw, buffs for days

    And even then 214P is meant to be used in a juggle instead of something you randomly throw out in neutral. So that nerf isn't even that meaningful.

    Actually, Mai's had an air throw in DOA5LR too. 214P got nerfed because it's a tracking i12 mid that stuns on normal hit. Outside of juggles, it didn't lead to anything in DOA5LR.

    Mai had an air throw in 5? i legit never saw anyone use it so i just assumed it was new lol
    Yo Kula KBD is rediculous, but that forward run, yeesh don't even bother, just wave dash, also putting Diego glass on Kula in honor of K'
    Not gonna lie, kinda breaks my heart when I go for those hi counter throws with Bass and they only do 45-50% as opposed to that pre patch 55-60% :[
