  • Masayuki Uemura, creator of the NES and SNES has recently passed away.

His name didn't come up as much as Gunpei Yokoi or Miyamoto, but it deserved to be. Just looking at my NES and SNES brings me joy, and they both still work unlike some of my newer consoles. NES made Nintendo what it is today, it made video games what they are today. I wouldn't be who I am if I hadn't gotten an NES when I was 2 or 3, lol.

There was hope for a Chrono Trigger remake, there were rumblings of a Chrono Cross remaster, and there were even prayers for a new Chrono series game altogether... But the future refused to change lol.

(Trailer is cool, but still a firm believer that mobile games is just not worth the effort and time to put into.)

Yeah, honestly the lack of Chrono games at first was because of the now impossible form of key developers and contract. The series was started off as a dream team with Akira Toriyama (Dragonball), Hironobu Sakaguchi (Creator of FF), Kitase, Matsui, Kato, and Yuji Horii (DQ).

All those names mentioned working together is basically the avengers but for RPGs, you'll probably never see something like that again.

Ah, that trailer music makes me feel nostalgic. But yeah I have to concur that I'm not feeling any mobile games. Though it's nice to see the Chrono series get some attention. Hopefully something bigger in the future?

ah, so the first Chrono Trigger was basically a lightning in a bottle scenario that probably can't be replicated, and is probably why Chrono Cross is not as revered as the original, but people seem to have a soft spot for it so I'm sure they can make another Chrono without the original devs, I'm sure at this point ppl would just appreciate another Chrono game lol
Smash Bros community is something else. An artist is getting sued by ZeRo for the bad shit he did in the past which he also admitted, but the artist he's suing isn't a hero either as she's also a legit scammer asking for huge amount of money to fight it when she has the amount of money she's making via NFTs. Literally two people who did bad shit lol.

True yeah. Despite ZeRo's current issues I still find Jisu to be extraordinary sketch. It's literally using ZeRo's history as leverage to gain a front for her to make the most bank possible.

Jisu is an artist that sells on NFT and she's making a ton of bank in there, the money she's asking for is a ridiculous amount just to fight it when she has enough to cover all that (actually more than enough from what i'm hearing). She's somewhat pushing the rich girl route by taking advantage of the consequences that is sexual abuse from another individual. She's wild for that.

If it is true for what he did then he's someone I don't want to get to know nor meet in person, but woo boy there is multiple flags that's pretty out there. Messed up people can be taken advantaged of from other messed up people with Jisu being one of them. Most of her feedback on her part have been pretty negative, and because of his history he'd more likely to lose when both should be losing lol.
Looks like DB Heroes is promoting the whole Goku Black/Zamasu thing.

Now there is a Zamasu that took over Vegeta's body (yeah the whole pink hair thing), and there is another that took over Frieza's, and even Broly's body.

All this body snatching is getting old lel.

Disregarding that DOA being missed for it also has a block button function, I didn't know that Goiken Muyou II had the option of choosing both block styles of holding back/button as a feature because I think Goiken Muyou 1 didn't have it at all for being a 3D fighter.

I've never even heard of this series until now, lol

@inochinagi Yeah wouldn't blame you, Goiken Muyou was always under the radar and was only released in Japan which was also under the radar over there.

I played I think the first one via emulation (Goiken Muyou: Anarchy in Japan) which you had to hold back to block, but I didn't know Goiken Muyou 2 had a feature where you can select both of back/button.

Just like DOA for being VF lite and was inspired by VF, Goiken Muyou was actually inspired from all 3 of the main ones (VF/Tekken/DOA) and was made from a dev that had connections to get in touch with all 3. The devs that made it though wasn't a big company to promote it and was a lion's den vs the other 3, so GMII was the last one.

Been slacking on the gil, but been trying to make more money in FFXIV. Could buy almost anything, but been saving it for the new expansion
What's the best part of music for you?

Me: When that bassline kicks in somewhere.

When something in the music gives me chills, like when I notice layers in the music with multiple things going on at the same time, like in Mega Man X's Spark Mandrill theme or Castlevania Aria of Sorrow's Underground Reservoir.
Cyberpunk 2077 has been getting heavily positive reviews lately.

For some it might be too late, but it's still very good dedication and how serious they were on trying to fix the game. I recently finished the game few weeks back, and will admit that I did enjoy it.

I just wish it wasn't called what it was. I know it's existed since the 80s, but now it's popular. The problem is that it's named after a genre (or subgenre). The other day I decided to look up "cyperpunk food" and literally all of the links were about the game... It's like if there was a popular series called "Film Noir" or "Dark Comedy".

On another note, looks like it's gearing up to get some awards now.

stories like this have been popping up alot recently, like that guy from General Hospital and multiple football and basketball players, I don't know what their reasons are for not getting the vaccine but it must be a good reason to lose a job over

@Camel with 2 thumbs - they quoted his reasons in the article, you can decide for yourself if his reasons were any good. First he said it was for medical reasons, they checked it out and said nope, then he said "religious reasons", they said nope again, then it came down to his freedoms, nope again, so he's out.

Trypanophobia, fear of needles, is an actual phobia people of all ages can have. Maybe a lot of these people have this but won't admit it, lol.
What is your main and sub characters most satisfying final kill in rounds/matches (any fighting game)
Looks like Yoko Taro wants a Nier anime that's a prequel to Automata (?).

Apparently 2B was more than she looks and was based off a real human before the extinction (?). I sense tragic backstory.
