Looks good to me. As long as you use the cross/circle method for faces and think in 3D you should be able to handle perspective pretty easy

Some progress shots of this thing I'm working on.

I'm trying to paint with the airbrush but it's turning out way too soft looking for my taste. Final cover may look very different
Looks like mila :)
.way better coloring than I can do anyhow. Can't wait to get a new laptop and Photoshop to practice again

Yeah it's her :p And hey if you're just drawing I recommend you check out programs like Sai and Manga Studio, they're so much more efficient than Photoshop. Although it's tougher to find good tutorials if you can't read Japanese

I can't....

But may I have a full version of that mila pic when you are done? :). I love the way you drew her hair and face!

Trying to get back into doing daily sketches. My art skills rust way too fast lol

Any tips or suggestions are welcome

Also, the original concept of Amber! Seriously I was almost asleep and her entire design popped into my head out nowhere so I groggily sketched it out in Photoshop before I forgot and passed back out. Only thing I've changed from this original concept is the inner magma is more visible, and I gave her the 8 fire orbs as a gimmick.

I drew this picture of a Time Lost Proto Drake and colored it with my Wacom bamboo a few years back. I'm by no means any artist. Added textures and all of that other stuff. Yes, it's going to suck ass and you need to get the hell over it! xD

Yeah I can link you to it when everything's ready, it's actually the cover of a doujin I'm doing. Hopefully I'll finish it sometime this year

It can be tough trying to draw daily especially with full time job, gym, etc. but I think it helps if you set a schedule, like maybe you do an hour of figure drawing every Mon, Wed, Fri at 5pm. The biggest factor is motivation though

Edit: Here's a good site to help with practice

I tried shading in between rounds of DOA. bleh. Anyways, its Rita and Tweed, my favorite Resident Evil ladies.

Photoshop and wacom takes getting used to. As does actually shading.

@synce I need heeeeeelp....

i know details and shading are poor, i doodled this at 4 in the morning with one eye open, but I wanted to do a color test for her hair before I passed out. I can't figure out how to make it look right. Solid like regular hair, or try to make it speckled like a gray fox, which she is otherwise (literally) patterned off? If the former, not sure what color, if the latter, I have NO idea how to draw that lol.

I'm gonna consider this my daily sketch.

I like the right version more... adding texture is always a good idea. If you're using photoshop you can use chalk brushes and noise filter for that

When choosing colors for shading generally what I do is move the color picker to a darker, warmer, and more saturated value. If you haven't already you should check out some art groups on deviantart, you can submit your art and get helpful advice
