Dead or Alive 6: Online Beta

I've had a fairly decent experience…

Had like 2 freezes and 1 disconnect in about 5h of actually playing.
Most wired connections are fairly playable: 4-5 bar is usually good, 3 is alright and 1-2 is at least tolerable.
Have to avoid the Wifi connections though… with them, even 4-5 bars is a coin flip and might have massive input delay.

Finding matches usually did not take long, at least compared to the SCVI beta.

Input lag can still be pretty nasty even at supposedly best connection strength. Aside from disconnections and freezing a couple times, I had a weird bug where the menus were all black. I've had a fun time when it works though. As far as finding matches, I thought I was going ok but then I realized I was just being matched with the same guy over and over.

Besides a few technical issues with lag and sparse disconnects, the beta is good. I only wish they had a wider range of characters to select from besides the ninjas.

Perhaps they'll have another beta in the future with different characters. Either way, this will hold me over until March 1.

I’m really starting to get used to the mechanics of 6, it really feels refreshing playing the beta. I had good experiences so far, fought Master twice, beat zakkurye, beat gehaktbal and I’ve fought Hoodless. Fighting them was extremely fun! The netcode is still a bit bad, but better than the netcode of 5. I hope the netcode, the glitches and other bugs aren’t in the final version so the game is enjoyable.

My thought:

Besides the glitches and freezing galore (especially when I won matches), 6 is very good and I can't wait to get it!

Diego needs some work in the lab. Ayane is a "a bit" OP, damage-wise. One thing TN need to rework with is Break Blow. I did a match when I perform a counter when getting up and it was about to hit my opponent but then Break Blow happened on his/her end which cost me the match.

ITS SO INCONSISTENT. their breakblows counter my hits but my breakblows get hit by their his. i would like it to make sense.

Can anyone explain why Ayane has better throw damage than practically the entire cast. She might as well have a BURST. Hard to react to with no stagger escape she can hit you all day without feeling punished in the slight... Unless she is being used by a player that doesn't know how.

Turtling Ayane on this dumb fuckin stage is like getting your balls blown off. Never liked it when players claimed it was high tier play to zone the entire match. What it really is is you being a pussy.
